    Can you do anything about this for when the server restarts? Its like you are getting forcefully kicked.

    If client is disconnected at server restart, i'll do it.

    To explain this better, for example on Interlude and newer versions of the game, when the server shuts down (doesnt matter if its restart or shutdown) you get the disconnected pop up and when you press ok it takes you back to the login screen.

    Right now on lisvus when you press the ok button on the disconected pop up message the client closes completely and you have to relaunch the game via l2.exe

    That's how C4 works. This change was done on later chronicles. :/

    Well, in theory it could be customized to get client to character selection screen by using another packet.
    But i believe it's not worth it. Players would try to relog and mess everything up.
